Job Summary:
This role will sit in Aberdeen and will be responsible for the processing and analysis of petrophysical data and subsequent presentation to the customer.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Processing and interpretation of petrophysical data relating to applications such as isolation logging, production logging, and formation evaluation
· Liaise with internal sales and operations teams around client requirements and data acquisition
· Presenting data to customers
· Coordinate with third-party software companies around the completion and further development of the data analytics platform
· Identify and develop opportunities for further customer development
· Assist in the further development and execution of the business strategy for the product line
Qualification Standards:
· Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
· Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to represent Probe or its clients at conferences or public forums
· Must be able to travel 10% of the time
Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a closely related discipline
· 5-10 years of experience as a Petro physicist in Oil & Gas
· Experience with hard rock, soft rock, and various lithologies
· Thorough understanding of standard logging analysis, core analysis, and reservoir properties, general subsurface geologic understanding a plus
· Expertise in petrophysical well log evaluation, designing well evaluation programs, special core analysis, working with advance logs such as image logs and data integration
· Experience with calculating mechanical rock properties from well logs and cores
· Experience with capillary pressure modeling
· Proficient with petrophysical evaluation software
